This role is ideal for a lawyer with a strong litigation foundation who is ready to transition into a broad-based product counsel role. You will partner closely with our product and technology organizations, applying your litigation background to assess and mitigate risk, while advising on a wide range of matters at the intersection of AI, product development, and business operations.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <p><em>Product &amp; AI Counsel</em></p> <ul> <li>Serve as counsel for product teams, advising on product development, feature launches, terms of service, and user-facing policies.</li> <li>Provide guidance on legal and regulatory matters related to artificial intelligence, including AI governance frameworks, data use, bias, transparency, and applicable regulation (e.g., EU AI Act, emerging U.S. state laws).</li> <li>Advise on intellectual property matters related to software, AI-generated content, and product features.</li> <li>Identify and proactively address legal risks in product roadmaps and cross-functional initiatives.</li> <li>Collaborate with Privacy, Security, and Trust &amp; Safety teams to ensure product compliance with applicable laws.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain internal legal playbooks, templates, and training materials.</li> </ul> <p><em>Risk Management &amp; Dispute Readiness</em></p> <ul> <li>Apply litigation expertise to evaluate legal exposure and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies across the business.</li> <li>Support pre-litigation matters as they arise, including assessing claims, coordinating with outside counsel, and driving toward efficient resolution.</li> <li>Manage litigation holds and support discovery processes when needed.</li> <li>Monitor the legal and regulatory landscape affecting technology and AI companies and provide timely guidance to stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><em>Business and Cross-Functional Support</em></p> <ul> <li>Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, apply, and improve both internal and external policies.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal business teams, including Finance and Collections, to support a range of business needs and advise on protective measures when necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Advise Sales and Go-To-Market teams on compliance and legal considerations to support competitive positioning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing</li> <li>4-7 years of experience, with law firm litigation experience strongly preferred</li> <li>Strong litigation foundation, including experience with dispute assessment, outside counsel management, and discovery</li> <li>Experience advising on technology or product-related legal matters</li> <li>Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills</li> <li>Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment</li> <li>Understanding of AI tools and how to utilize them to expedite and streamline workflows</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior experience with AI, machine learning, or emerging technology legal issues</li> <li>Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)</li> <li>In-hous
