Counsel, Product & Commercial (Complex Transactions)

We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.</p> <p>Lyft is seeking a sharp, energetic, and self-motivated attorney to join the Product &amp; Commercial Legal Team to focus on commercial contracts related to autonomous vehicles and consumer-focused partnerships.&nbsp; You’ll partner with our Autonomous Vehicles and Partnerships Teams to review, draft, and negotiate complex transactions in support of major new product and business initiatives. You will be required to deliver results by managing a high volume of commercial contracts while also working hand-in-hand with Legal colleagues to provide long term legal guidance.&nbsp;</p> <p>The legal issues you’ll encounter are cutting edge, revolutionary and always evolving, so it will be up to you to advise with a creative and pragmatic approach. The successful candidate will be skilled at building strong relationships, working in the unknown while balancing legal risks, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of complex, product-focused commercial contracts in support of Lyft’s Autonomous Vehicles and Partnerships Teams&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide strategic legal and business advice to bring a long-term, product and customer-focused perspective to contract discussions</li> <li>Provide ongoing guidance to cross functional teams regarding contractual requirements, including implications for product implementation and strategy&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Understand and advance Lyft’s priorities by connecting issues across business leaders and subject matter experts to develop and drive comprehensive, long-term legal strategies that balance risk and business objectives</li> <li>Prioritize workload to set goals and meet deadlines in a fluctuating and sometimes ambiguous business environment</li> <li>Collaborate with legal team members to improve processes, calibrate an approach to legal risk, and ensure business demands are satisfied</li> <li>Assist other teams with projects on an as-needed basis</li> </ul> <h2><strong>&nbsp;Experience:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience working on a diverse range of complex commercial contracts</li> <li>Experience leading high stakes commercial negotiations with sophisticated and demanding counterparties</li> <li>Ability to draft bespoke new commercial agreements and contract templates and provide related product legal advice&nbsp;</li> <li>5+ years of experience working in a law firm and in-house legal department</li> <li>J.D. from a top-tier law school and active membe
