Customer Education Manager

Drata is building the trust layer between great companies - automating compliance, managing risk, and helping organizations prove trust continuously as they scale. We're Dratanauts: a global crew of 600+ professionals united by a culture that rewards integrity, ownership, and raising the bar, no matter where in the world we're working from. Why Join the Drata Team? At Drata, you're not maintaining legacy compliance software - you're building the agentic AI platform defining what trust looks like for the next generation of companies. Here's what makes the work itself worth showing up for: Problems without a playbook: You'll work at the edge of AI and security, building agentic governance, continuous compliance, and real-time trust verification to solve problems that don't have an established answer yet. You're writing it as you go. Real ownership, not just process: Our values center on owning outcomes and raising the bar, not checking boxes. You're expected to have opinions and back them. A seat at the table: Your perspective is unique and valued. Open debate and diverse viewpoints are built into how decisions actually get made here, at every level. Growth at rocketship speed: Drata is scaling fast, which means scope grows fast too. High performers get more ownership, visibility, and experience. A crew, not just coworkers: Dratanauts consistently describe a "come as you are" culture with sharp, curious people—the kind of team that makes hard problems genuinely fun to solve. Job Summary: Drata is building a world-class customer education function — and we're looking for the person who will own it. As Learning & Development Specialist, you'll be the architect of how Drata customers learn: designing the programs, building the certifications, and creating the infrastructure that helps thousands of security and compliance practitioners get value from Drata faster and more independently. A critical part of this role is understanding that Enterprise and SMB customers don't learn the same way — you'll design programs that meet each segment where they are, with the right depth, format, and pacing for their needs. You'll sit within the Digital CS team — alongside Community, in-app guidance, automated playbooks, and 1:M events — and you'll be the expert who defines what great customer education looks like at Drata across every customer segment. This is a senior IC role. You won't manage people on day one, but you'll lead the discipline. You'll set the strategy, own the roadmap, and be the voice of customer education across the company. As the function matures, there's a clear path to building a team under you. You'll report directly to the Sr. Director of Digital CS, who leads all of Drata's Digital CS programs. What you'll do: Build and mature the Drata Academy program Own the Drata Academy roadmap — course library strategy, learning path design, and the overall curriculum architecture across Drata's product suite (GRC, Trust Center, AIQA, TPRM) Design distinct learning experiences for Enterprise and SMB customers — Enterprise teams need depth, role-based paths, and content that scales across large orgs; SMB customers need fast time-to-value, opinionated guidance, and lean formats that fit a lean team Take Academy from a newly launched platform to a mature, comprehensive education program with measurable customer outcomes Define what 'good' looks like for customer education at Drata — frameworks, standards, and content quality bar Build a scalable content production process using AI-assisted authoring tools (Claude Design, Arcade, and similar) to create high-quality courses without engineering dependency Partner with Product to stay ahead of feature releases and ensure education content ships in sync with the product Launch and own the Drata Admin Certification program Design and build Drata's first customer certification program — the Drata Admin Certification — from curriculum design through to assessment, badging, and renewal Define the certification framework: competency model, exam structure, passing criteria, and credential lifecycle Partner with the Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to position the Drata Admin Certification as a meaningful credential in the GRC and security compliance market Build the ecosystem around certification: study guides, prep courses, practice assessments, and community-based peer learning Drive education impact with AI and data Use AI tools meaningfully throughout the content lifecycle — not just for drafting, but for personalization, adaptive learning paths, and content gap identification at scale Define and own education KPIs: course completion rates, certification pass rates, time-to-proficiency, and correlation between education engagement and GRR/NRR Partner with the Digital CS team's data infrastructure (Snowflake, Catalyst) to connect Academy engagement to cus
