You will be the overall owner of this key product area. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a "hands-on coach", someone who can navigate high-level strategic planning with executives while staying close enough to the technical details to mentor a team of Product Managers through complex feature delivery.

You will bridge the gap between traditional enterprise security needs and the modern, ephemeral requirements of cloud infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

Lead & Mentor: Act as a player-coach for a high-performing team of PMs. You’ll be responsible for their professional growth, roadmap clarity, and day-to-day execution.

Product Strategy: Define the multi-year vision for OPA, ensuring we outpace both legacy vault competitors and modern infrastructure-access startups.

Hands-on Execution: Directly contribute to product specs, technical architecture discussions, and customer-facing documentation when the team needs an extra set of expert eyes.

Market Disruption: Identify opportunities to integrate PAM more deeply into the Okta Identity platform, driving "Zero Standing Privileges" as a standard for our customers.

Customer & Sales Partnership: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for PAM in high-stakes customer engagements and industry events (Oktane, RSA).

Cross-functional Alignment: Work closely with Engineering, UX, and Product Marketing to ensure the product we build is both technically robust and easy to adopt.

What you’ll bring:

Subject Matter Expertise: Deep experience in either "Traditional PAM" (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea) and/or "Modern Infrastructure" (e.g., HashiCorp, Teleport)

Leadership Track Record: 5+ years of experience managing Product Managers, with a proven ability to scale teams and foster a culture of technical excellence.

"Hands-on" Skills: You are not afraid to dive into the weeds of SSH, RDP, Kubernetes, or Secrets Management. You understand the "how" as much as the "why."

Strategic Thinking: 10+ years of total PM experience in the Security or Identity space, with a history of shipping SaaS products at scale.

Communication: Ability to translate complex security concepts into a compelling narrative for both DevOps engineers and C-level executives.

Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field; MBA is a plus.

Okta’s Values:

Love our customers: We’re obsessed with helping them succeed.

Never stop innovating: We’re always looking for a better way.

Act with integrity: We’re honest, ethical, and transparent.

Be transparent: We share information freely and proactively.

Empower our people: We give our team the autonomy to do their best work.

#LI-Hybrid
#LI-MM
P25170_3443414

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates loc
