Engineering Manager, Destinations

About Hightouch

Hightouch is the modern AI platform for marketing and growth teams. Our AI agents reimagine marketing workflows, allowing marketers to create content, plan campaigns, and execute strategies with transformational velocity and performance.

Hightouch is a rare company built on the intersection of two fundamental technological shifts: advances in LLMs and agentic AI, and the creation and rapid adoption of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and Databricks. Building on these tailwinds, we’ve become a leader in AI marketing and partner with industry leaders like Domino’s, Chime, Spotify, Ramp, Whoop, Grammarly, and over 1000 others.

Our team focuses on making a meaningful impact for our customers. We approach challenges with first-principles thinking, move quickly and efficiently, and treat each other with compassion and kindness. We look for team members who are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving our goals.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented, curious, and motivated engineering manager to lead our engineering team that manages our 300+ destination integrations. This role would involve a mix of leadership and hands-on engineering.

Destination integrations are at the heart of Hightouch’s products. Every single Hightouch customer, from early adopters of our Agentic Marking Platform to customers running tens of thousands of syncs a day at scale, rely on these integrations to send their data to destinations like CRMs, advertising platforms, analytics engines, and more.

We believe in enabling our engineers to do their best work for our customers by giving them extremely high levels of ownership and autonomy. You would lead the team by example, raise the bar for technical execution, and continuously ensure the team is focusing on the highest-value deliverables.

We ship quickly - it’s not uncommon for someone to implement a new integration while simultaneously shipping a few improvements in a week. Engineers also regularly work directly with customers and integration partners to solution new use cases as they come up.

Here’s an example of some problems you’d be working on:

Managing our 300+ integrations: We get tens of requests for new destinations and even more requests to add functionality to our existing integrations. You’ll be responsible for prioritizing these requests to balance enabling immediate deals with longer-term business strategy and engineering improvements.

Sync speed: Customers want to sync large volumes of data to a diverse set of destinations (HTTP APIs, file transfers, data warehouses), each with its own limitations. We need to ensure that we’re maximizing our performance via a combination of parallelism, batching, rate-limit detection, and algorithmic optimizations.

AI developer productivity and enablement: How can rapid advances in AI help us ship faster and with higher quality?

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - 320,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, and offer early exercise and a 10 year post-termination exercise window.

About You

We’re looking for a leader who is motivated by delivering customer value, quickly, while mentoring and guiding the team to continuously raise the bar. This is a leadership role, but we care about evidence of impact and potential for growth more than years of experience.

You are a great fit if you:

Value excellence in what you do, and bring out excellence in those around you.

Are passionate about mentoring newer engineers

Are looking for a blend of hands-on development with people leadership

Reason from first principles about problems, and are constantly curious to find ground truth.

Form clear opinions about ambiguous problems while communicating with clarity.

[Bonus] Have experience building and scaling a platform with hundreds of API integrations.

Interview Process

In our interview process, we’re looking to assess mutual fit - we want you to ask us questions too! We want to draw upon your vast prior experience to give us detailed and specif
