We own the native chat surface, the agent orchestrator, and the agentic UI framework that other teams across Klaviyo will plug into.</p> <p>&nbsp;By joining the Klaviyo Conversational AI Platform team, you will have the opportunity to have a direct impact on over 170,000 brands that use Klaviyo every day to engage with their customers. You’ll also help define and build Klaviyo’s Autonomous Marketing platform: an ecosystem of LLM‑powered agents that can analyze, create, and optimize marketing programs across campaigns, flows, forms, and more.</p> <p>As the Engineering Manager for Klaviyo Conversational AI Platform, you will lead a fullstack team that owns the main Conversational AI Platform UI while designing the core intent-routing orchestrator and shared agent platform that other teams use to plug in.</p> <p>This role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with product managers, product designers, and many other engineering teams to extend and drive evolution of the product.</p> <h2><strong>How You Will Make a Difference</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead a team of engineers delivering fullstack, customer-facing features used across Klaviyo’s Conversational AI Platform product offering</li> <li>Set the technical direction for the orchestrator that handles intent detection, routing, planning, and multi‑step LLM workflows across many expert agents.</li> <li>Own end-to-end execution: scope initiatives, break down work, align dependencies, and deliver high-quality releases on predictable timelines</li> <li>Drive architectural decisions that prioritize scalability, reliability, and maintainability across services, data models, and shared component systems</li> <li>Partner closely with Product and Design to translate vision into intuitive, performant user experiences</li> <li>Drive cross-team collaboration with Engineering to ensure the smooth integration of AI agents across teams.</li> <li>Grow and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture</li> <li>Collaborate across Klaviyo to align roadmaps and ship cohesive, customer-delighting solutions</li> <li>Contribute hands-on via design docs, code reviews, and technical spikes to de-risk complex bets and model engineering excellence</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2> <ul> <li>8+ years of software engineering experience with strong frontend and backend skills</li> <li>5+ years of engineering management experience, ideally managing fullstack teams.</li> <li>Familiarity with frontend technologies like React, TypeScript, and state management tools such as Redux</li> <li>Comfortable contributing to backend systems using Python and Django, FastAPI (or equivalent)</li> <li>Skilled in system design, reusable component architecture, and scalable frontend platforms</li> <li>Familiarity DevOps tooling, cloud infrastructure (AWS), Terraform, etc.</li> <li>Proven track record delivering complex features in fast-paced, product-led environments</li> <li>Clear communicator, collaborative leader, and committed to continuous team improvement</li> <li>Experience designing or leading systems that use LLMs, tools, or agent‑like workflows</li> </ul> <h2><strong>
