Job Summary

As a Principal Product Manager at HighRadius, you will own the end-to-end strategic vision, roadmap, and execution for our next-generation B2B merchant card processing infrastructure and ACH networks. You will drive the convergence of traditional business payments with enterprise AI automation, enabling Global 2000 clients to optimize transactional cash flow, structurally lower transaction costs, and unify global payment channels.

This high-impact, individual contributor (IC) leadership role demands a rigorous synthesis of technical payment gateway infrastructure architecture, hands-on data analytics, and high-stakes stakeholder management. You will serve as the premier payment architect bridging commercial sales opportunities, complex consulting deployment cycles, and deep platform engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payment Domain Expertise & Cost Analytics

Payment SME Leadership: Act as the definitive enterprise Subject Matter Expert on global B2B infrastructure, covering payment gateways, merchant acquiring, merchant card-not-present (CNP) flows, and clearing rails (ACH, FedNow, SEPA, Real-Time Payments).Processing Cost Optimization: Conduct exhaustive quantitative analysis of payment processing costs, interchange brackets, and card scheme rules to design platform routing capabilities (e.g., Level 2/3 processing data enrichment) that dramatically compress client acceptance fees.Data Analytics & Prototyping: Write standalone data-analysis scripts and build functional data use cases (utilizing SQL or Python/scripting logic) to surface macro transaction trends, troubleshoot routing anomalies, and validate infrastructure optimization.

2. B2B Client Solutioning & GTM Enablement

Best-in-Class Strategy Definition: Lead the definition of a best-in-class payments strategy for individual clients to maximize processing outcomes, reduce friction, and align with their unique operational goals.Solution Design: Architect end-to-end payment topologies, specialized multi-entity settlement configurations, and complex reconciliation workflows tailored for massive corporate ecosystems, considering HighRadius products.High-Impact Demonstrations: Design and deliver sophisticated, technically precise gateway capability demos that clearly articulate architectural advantages and business value to corporate C-suites (CFOs, CIOs, Treasurers).Cross-Functional Support Operations: Serve as the primary product pillar reinforcing Sales (accelerating pre-sales technical validation), Consulting (authoring deployment blueprints), and Support (providing tier-3 infrastructure escalation resolution).

3. Stakeholder Management & Ecosystem Relations

Direct Client Feedback Loops: Organically lead client-facing feedback sessions and technical discovery panels, transforming disparate merchant pain points into clear, prioritized engineering deliverables.Payment Partner Management: Cultivate and negotiate strategic partnerships with card networks, payment processors, acquiring banks, and regional Alternative Payment Method (APM) institutions to optimize unit economics and platform breadth.Internal Stakeholder Alignment: Masterfully manage expectations and unify priorities across competing commercial timelines, consulting delivery boundaries, and engineering constraints.Defining the "Contract": Maintain precise technical interfaces (API field mappings and schema definitions) as a source of truth for payment partners, ensuring alignment between engineering teams and network expectationsEvidence-Based Alignment: Utilize functional specifications as objective documentation during escalations or negotiations to shift discussions from subjective friction to evidence-based technical root-cause resolution.

4. Gateway Architecture & Growth Strategy

Product Gateway Strategy: Drive the structural, API-first strategy for HighRadius's processing engine, maintaining rigid PCI-DSS compliance, minimal latency, and robust multi-acquirer failover rules.Processor Agnostic Strategy: Architect a flexible, processor-agnostic processing model that enables seamless interoperability across various payment gateways and acquirers, ensuring platform flexibility and reducing vendor dependency.Product-Led Growth (PLG): Design and execute product adoption loops aimed at maximizing Gross Transaction Volume (GTV), capturing broader wallet share from existing platforms, and lowering user friction.

5. Mentorship & Junior PM Development

Outcome-Oriented Goal Setting: Guide junior PMs in translating high-level business objectives into measurable OKRs. Mentor them to focus on impact (e.g., TCA reduction, GTV growth) rather than just output, ensuring every roadmap item has a clear business case.Mastering the Specification Craft: Mentor junior PMs to treat functional specifications as living 'contracts'—not just technical documentation. Teach them to bridge the gap between abstract requirements and precise, implementable logic, ensuring that every spec serves as the single source of truth for both Engineering and external stakeholders.Strategic Communication: Provide frameworks for stakeholder management, coaching them to replace subjective debate with evidence-based communication. Help them build the EQ and Data&apos balance required to navigate competing priorities and drive consensus.Technical Rigour: Instil a mindset of deep architectural understanding, encouraging them to get hands-on with data analysis and API layouts to make informed, defensible product decisions.

Skill & Experience Needed

Experience: 8+ years of technical Product Management tenure, with 5+ years dedicated strictly to processing networks, gateway API layout, or complex merchant infrastructure.Technical & Analytical Skill: Proven capacity to build data parsing scripts, run advanced SQL routines, and design intricate API structures. Extensive familiarity with mapping data schemas to prominent ERP frameworks (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).Solution Engineering & Communication: Distinct background operating within high-visibility client consulting or sales-engineering environments. Superb verbal and written communication profile tailored for executive stakeholders.Strong relationships with payment partners: Demonstrated ability to cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with payment processors, card networks, and acquiring banks to optimise platform breadth and economics.Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to effectively collaborate across sales, marketing, consulting, and support teams to align product strategy with organisational goals.Core Profile DNA: High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) capable of productively reconciling different priorities among fast-paced commercial targets, stable engineering sprints, and rigid compliance constraints.
