<h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>We’re hiring for a Product Designer on our Trust & Safety Disputes team. In this role, you’ll lead the design of the member-facing disputes experience across the lifecycle a customer goes through when they file a dispute, while also partnering on agent tooling where it meaningfully improves outcomes. You’ll play a key role in shaping what great looks like for Chime’s dispute experience as automation and AI evolve. You’ll focus on high-stakes moments of trust—ensuring members feel supported, informed, and confident—while identifying opportunities to streamline agent workflows through automation and intentional design, ultimately delivering more seamless and effective outcomes for everyone.</p> <p>The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at <span class="collapsed-field-text">$170,000.00</span> and up to <span class="collapsed-field-text">$235,000.00</span>. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.</p> <p>This role is in-office in San Francisco Monday–Thursday each week. San Francisco is preferred.</p> <h2><strong>In this role, you can expect to</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead the end-to-end design of member-facing dispute experiences, from issue identification through filing, status visibility, resolution, and follow-up.</li> <li>Design thoughtful, high-trust experiences for complex and often emotionally charged moments where members need clarity, confidence, and support.</li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Support, and Research to improve both customer outcomes and operational efficiency.</li> <li>Identify where agent tooling, workflows, and automation can reduce friction behind the scenes while keeping the member experience intuitive and trustworthy.</li> <li>Help shape the long-term disputes roadmap, including how intelligent systems and automation should support members and internal teams over time.</li> <li>Bring strong strategic thinking to ambiguous problem spaces, while also driving high-quality execution and shipping polished work.</li> <li>Raise the bar for design in Trust & Safety by contributing patterns, critiques, and best practices across the org.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>To thrive in this role, you have</strong></h2> <ul> <li>A strong track record designing successful consumer-facing product experiences, ideally in mobile-first environments.</li> <li>Experience owning ambiguous, end-to-end problem spaces that require both strategic framing and hands-on execution.</li> <li>The ability to design for complex systems with multiple users, even when the primary focus is on the consumer experience.</li> <li>A portfolio that shows clear thinking, strong interaction design, and high craft in emotionally sensitive or high-stakes flows.</li> <li>Experience partnering effectively across complex stakeholder groups and influencing roadmaps, priorities, and tradeoffs.</li> <li>Comfort working in technically and operationally complex domains where policy, process, and product intersect.</li> <li>Experience at a larger company is a plus.</li> <li>Nice to have: experience in Trust & Safety, disputes, customer support, fraud, risk, or similarly complex regulated environments.</li> </ul> <p>#L1-TP #LI-Onsite<br><br></p><div class="content-conclusion"><h2><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>A little about us</strong></span></h2> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">At Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress.
