<h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>We’re seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Associate to join the Finance team at Chime. As a finance team member, you will have a key role in collaborating with the Strategic Finance team to shape our business and financial strategy, while completing numerous high-impact initiatives at the company. You will help us build unit economic frameworks to better understand our business model to drive continuous improvement of KPIs, while collaborating with cross-functional business partners to evaluate the ROI of products, features, and initiatives. We are looking for an analytical problem-solver with a strategic mindset - someone who can do more than just crunch numbers! A key part of this role is the ability to understand the details while keeping sight of the broader strategy. This is a high-visibility role on a tight knit team. You will work day to day with Product, Analytics, Risk, Growth, Accounting, and Corporate Finance. The StratFin team routinely interacts with senior executives and cross-functional partnership is an everyday occurrence, so effective communication skills are a must!</p> <p>The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $119,000.00 and up to $165,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.</p> <h2><strong>In this role, you can expect to</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Support the development of unit economic frameworks to evaluate the ROI of various products, features, and business strategies and guide Chime’s decision-making</li> <li>Evaluate economic viability and drive strategy for Chime’s new and emerging products</li> <li>Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including Product, Risk, Analytics, and Marketing to strategically advise on financial impact and improve business performance</li> <li>Use tools such as Pigment to manage and own financial forecasts and advise executive leadership on business unit and product performance on a regular basis</li> <li>Contribute to board/investor materials, public facing materials & disclosures, and other external reporting to advise investors and other key partners on overall company financial health and product positioning & performance</li> <li>Guide and partner closely with our Analytics team to create dashboards and KPIs to track product health, as well as evaluate experimental results</li> <li>Champion the adoption of AI and automation across the forecast process, compressing close-to-forecast turnaround, standardizing recurring reporting, and reducing manual effort in Pigment and Sheets</li> </ul> <h2><strong>To thrive in this role, you have</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Minimum 4-7 years of relevant experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or business intelligence; prior experience at a high-growth technology or financial technology company a plus</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or other relevant field</li> <li>Demonstrated experience building driver-based forecasts (e.g., volume × rate, unit economics, cohort models) with a clear point of view on how you validate drivers and diagnose forecast vs. actual variance</li> <li>Expertise in Excel / Google Sheets — you can build scalable, efficient, and auditable models with clear assumptions, and you have opinions about how a model should be structured</li> <li>Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization — you can take a complex, multi-driver result and give a non-finance partner the answer first, then the logic</li> <li>A strong sense of ownership and comfort with ambiguity</li> <li>Strong process-improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation to scale finance workflows and improve forecasting precision and turnaround time</li> <li>A team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude</li> <li>Bonus Experience: payments, banking, or money-movement economics; cohort analysis; Pigment, NetSuite, Looker, Snowflake</li> </ul> <p>#LI-Onsite #LI-LB1</p><div class="content-conclusion"><h2><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>A little about us</strong></span></h2> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">At Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress.
