About the role
Ensure effective control of CTQs, dimensional characteristics and welding-related special characteristics. Evaluate and audit welding processes, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and welding consumable controls. Ensure effective control of welding parameters, preheating, interpass temperature, distortion and weld quality. Review and audit NDT processes such as VT, MT, PT and UT, as applicable.
