As a Software Engineer on Notifications, you'll own well-defined projects end-to-end, sweat the details of a great user experience, and grow your craft alongside a team that ships reliably and cares deeply about quality. This person will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Growth.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Improve client device experiences for receiving notifications and tailoring notification preferences</li> <li>Build the platform that enables all other teams in the company to send delightful notifications while delivering the maximum value to our users.</li> <li>Pair with Machine Learning engineers to optimize global notification signals and quality.</li> <li>Maintain a high quality bar for our platform’s operational health and client performance</li> <li>Pair with Product and Design leads to find the right solutions that balance delight, speed of delivery and impact</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you should have</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of professional software engineering experience</li> <li>Proficiency in one or more of Python, Elixir, or Typescript with eagerness to learn new languages and skills</li> <li>A track record of delivering high quality software reliably and on time</li> <li>Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset: you sweat the right details and catch your own bugs before they reach customers</li> <li>You are motivated to help your team members succeed, grow, and learn from each other through empathetic feedback</li> <li>A customer-focused approach and comfort working toward clear, measurable team goals</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points</strong></p> <ul> <li>You are a Discord user, and understand the core features and flow of Discord communications</li> <li>You have previously worked on notifications or been a part of a growth team</li> </ul> <p><em><br>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 to $200,000 + equity + benefits.
